Equally, some of you may struggle with health matters or conditions, but this struggle could then lead to some new developments with your own skills and abilities in the health area. If something calls you to enter the domain of spiritual matters, then answer call with new methods and practices. Love and Money   Venus the goddess begins the year in sober Capricorn and your solar twelfth house, opposing giant Jupiter in Cancer and your solar sixth house. Money could be an issue as you begin the year, but that is set to change after July, as you will see. In the meantime, manage as best you can, especially if health problems or losses have affected your financial situation. You will get there if you do it a day at a time. For those of you in a relationship, you could be a bit stuck in the daily grind with your nearest and dearest. You might end up feeling a little let down of left out by a shift or change in circumstances or some unexpected development or revelation. Some of you may need to care for a partner or loved one in difficult circumstances. In August, giant Jupiter moves into Leo and your solar seventh house, bringing a dose of expansive energy to your partnership situation. For the single Aquarian, there may be new meetings and new opportunities in the partnership stakes and you may find yourself making connections with people who have some professional standing in the law or the arts, or who perhaps have strong connections overseas or with other cultures or races. You may travel to meet someone or find that professional opportunity brings someone new into your life. For Aquarians with partners, you may find your partner is on a roll and opportunities for growth, travel or expansion come through them. Your emotional or domestic life may simply be in a pattern that is hard to shift or at the mercy of forces that cannot be changed for the moment. Just let things run and attend to necessary responsibilities. Some of you may have to care for others who have ill-health or cannot for some reason care for themselves. This will run its course in time. The important thing is not to overreact to anything that must be done or cannot for the moment be changed. Later in the year, matters of home and emotions may be subject to significant change but the stimulus will probably come from outside or from some new contact or opportunity. This will be a year of two quite different halves in this sector of your life so go with the pattern in the early part of the year, knowing that change will come. Work and Health Â
Jupiter moved into the sign of Cancer and your solar sixth house of work and health in July of last year and will continue there until the end of July in 2002. There could be health problems with body fluids, fluid retention or blood conditions. Aquarian women may be a little prone to this throughout this time and some of you may have to deal with matters of fertility and the reproductive system. Overall, the key to Jupiter's transit through the sixth house is to seek expert professional help or services for a troublesome condition of any kind. If you act because of informed assessment or diagnostic assistance, the way ahead should become clear. Equally, such help or assistance as anyone might require could lead to new and improved health practices for the future. Some of you may even take up the path of health care professionally during this time. With mystic Neptune in you own sign, any conditions related to fatigue or toxicity will need attention, especially for those water-bearers born in late January or early February. If you find that you're unusually tired, inclined towards allergic reactions or suffering from any kind of toxic condition, once again seek advice, but also slow down and work with the condition. Don't try to work against it by just riding over the top and keeping up old habits or patterns. Career Matters Â
With Jupiter in Cancer and your solar sixth house, travel, education, broadening of the horizons and health care practices and practitioners may contribute to your development in regard to work. After August, you may find that with Jupiter in Leo there will be benefit, advancement or opportunity that will come through partners or in partnership situations or agreements. A good creative deal or arrangement will take you far, especially if you align yourself with someone of good professional standing or strong creative gifts. October and November bring Venus the goddess into a retrograde (reverse motion) phase. This comes in the sign of Scorpio and your solar tenth house of profession, public life and responsibility. For some, there may be a change with regard to relationships at work. You may have cause to review your position or question your direction. Others may have to deal with difficulties in the form of hidden agendas, clashes with others, jealousy or even betrayal. You may struggle with people in authority, especially strong-willed or fixed women. There could be problems with joint finances or resources and you may need to review your own financial position as a consequence. Some of you may be dealing with members of the public in a different way and have to revamp your image or presentation. This is not necessarily a very comfortable period so you will have to make adjustments and examine your position, your motivation and the motivation of others that you have to work with where authority is concerned. Mercury Retrograde  Mercury moves into retrograde (reverse) motion three times a year for about three weeks each time. This phase heralds a time of confusion and misunderstandings that can affect arrangements, travel, transport, appliances, machinery and communications. The breakdowns that occur are a function of neglect, inattention, simple misunderstandings or component failure. They will often bring to the fore the very contingency we should have planned for and didn't. When the retrograde phase occurs, watch out for such possibilities as well as putting off major decision-making or the signing of crucial documents and agreements. We tend to miss things while Mercury is in reverse motion and then have to come back and do them again. A process of review in the retrograde phase can efficiently show where problems might lie and help us with damage control or the mending of things. Double check arrangements at these times! What you think you've said and what others have understood will often prove to be two different things. Mercury's first retrograde cycle comes in your sign in the second week of January. You might experience communication problems at a very personal level. You may have to revise your plans or even review your sense of self at this time. You may simply like to adopt a new stance or out look that will be a real switch from where you've been before. You may have to count the cost of something that you've said or done from which unexpected fallout has come. Exercise genuine detachment as you consider what lies before you and see if you can come up with a new solution or approach. Try to step back from things and take a little time to yourself until the messenger moves forward again in the second week of February. Have quiet time from February 4th to 14th. The messenger's second retrograde comes in the middle of a trying period for all of us, beginning in the second week of May in the sign of Gemini and your solar fifth house. Matters of children, creative projects or lifestyle and recreation issues will be up for review and examination. There could be confusion as idea clashes or alternative views infringe on your situation. Information may be at a premium but it could be hard to get the right end of the stick. Remain open and curious, trying not to make up your mind or establish a clear picture until things have worked themselves through a little further. You simply may not have all the information you need until later on. The second week of June will see the messenger moving forward again and helping us to gather a little clarity. Mercury's third retrograde phase comes in the sign of Libra and your solar ninth house, beginning in the second week of September. Matters of travel, study, legal involvements or connections with in-laws or people overseas could be subject to confusion or change. Ideas about religion or belief could be at issue for some. Energy may scatter easily and it may be hard to see the wider picture. The changes or developments may end by having some bearing on matters of joint finance or credit facilities. Re-evaluate your position in terms of possibilities that you may have missed or have simply been unable to see prior to this time. Mercury moves forward again in the second week of October. Lady Moon  Your New Moon comes on February 12th, urging you towards a new or significant shift in your level of contact with others. Use the time to make the most of associations. Diversify your network of contacts by getting to know the people that other people know. This is a good to think of seeking new information, knowledge or ideas. You may want to enroll in a course or undertake some kind of study. The area of communications might be the most potent, but some of you may be drawn to academic or spiritual learning of some kind. Choices about where you live in terms of country or city could be made for some of you at this time. Keep any strong beliefs you have in place but be open to the ideas of others. This year, Lady Moon blesses you with two Full Moons in your sign. The first of these comes on July 24th. As mighty Mars and Mercury are opposing Neptune, there could be confusion in communications as anger or deceptions come to light. Avoid a tendency to fly off the handle and give yourself time to see beneath the surface of any tricky situation. As Venus the goddess is also in tension with Pluto, there could be tension in relationships and problems around money. Your relationship with your nearest and dearest or with any close associate could be tested at this time so make sure you keep your legendary Aquarian cool in place. Your second Full Moon comes on August 22nd, as Lady Moon conjoins with Uranus and mighty Mars with the Sun. This could be an eruptive time as both you and partners or close associates go through changes. There may be sudden shifts or reversals of feeling or circumstances. Partners may want to lead the way or take control. Try to stay away from cross words or crossed swords. Eclipses of both the Sun and the Moon often indicate the end of a cycle or a significant change in the direction or pattern of the affairs governed by the house in which the eclipse falls. Eclipses of the Sun may affect work, direction and relations with people in authority. Eclipses of the Moon may affect matters of home, family and emotions as well as relations with women and children. Both may affect your health. A lunar eclipse comes with the Full Moon in Sagittarius and your solar eleventh house of friends, hopes and wishes on may 26th. There may be tension of conflict in your circle as differences of ideas or opinion come to light. There may be conflict with an outspoken individual. There could be an ending of a friendship at this time. You may come to the end of the line with a plan or dream that you have and will have to review your thinking. Good communications are of paramount importance but it may be hard to get things clear. A solar eclipse comes with the New Moon in Gemini and your solar fifth house on June 11th. As sober Saturn conjoins with Sun and Moon while opposing powerful Pluto, this is a time of intense change in world around you. There might be conflicts, separations or endings, leading to changes of plan or direction. Important decisions will need to be made and there may be necessary discussion with those in authority. Review your situation because of changes that have taken place and look to the way ahead. A lunar eclipse comes with the Full Moon in Capricorn and your solar twelfth house on June 24th. Daily routines in your working or your personal life may be disrupted through change, endings or severances. There could be difficulties with people at work especially women. You may experience health problems (generally minor ones) that will disrupt the working pattern of your life. November 20th brings a lunar eclipse at the Full Moon in Taurus and your solar fourth house. There could be changes around the home that come because of the demands of work or responsibility. Someone close to you may leave the home base or change their living circumstances. A figure of authority, possibly a male, or work itself may interfere with the operations at home. This may mark the end of a small but significant cycle in your domestic or emotional life. A solar eclipse comes on December 4th at the New Moon in Sagittarius in your solar eleventh house of friends, hopes and wishes. There could be endings or changes with friends or connections. You may have to make a new start here. You might have to change your goals by broadening the spectrum of your ideas or approach or perhaps by redirecting your efforts down another track. If you find yourself somehow divided from others by ideas or beliefs, you may simply have to start again somewhere else. Special Events Â
The month of May needs some special attention with retrograde Mercury, a series of eclipses that run into June and the replay of the opposition between Saturn and Pluto that dominated world affairs from August through to November in 2001. Pace yourself as events play themselves through before you try to get the bigger picture. Saturn and Pluto are drawing attention to issues of children, creative projects, friends and associations and how they sit in your lives. Their opposition will indicate that things will either proceed or they will not as you go down familiar avenues. If matters come to a dead halt, don't try to push ahead. People may go from your circle or you may yourself somehow separated or alienated from people with whom you once associated for reasons over which you have little control. Orchestrate some new beginning or a change of direction in the wake of any change of this nature. Global events throughout May and June may significantly effect the path of local lives.
