Focus on Money
Saturn, your life-ruler, leads the way in 2006 with a focus on money as he begins the year
in Leo. Travelling in your solar eighth house, the bigger picture
of finance will be the feature. Investment, credit arrangements,
the mortgage and any joint holdings will be up for review and
re-evaluation. You may want to do more, Capricorn, to get more (or get what you
already have to do something different!). You may shed old obligations or
joint dealings and move into new ones in 2006. Long term goals will feature.
There will be dealings with experienced financial people. There
may be landmark changes with family finance or the family constellation,
especially involving older people. There may be money from inheritances
or trusts.
However, while Saturn is in Leo, Chiron the wounded healer is
in Aquarius, testing the measurer of effort with a series of oppositions
that began when they were in Cancer and Capricorn respectively.
Thus, along with an increased desire or need for money, you will
have to learn how to handle it well with personal spending. The
old adage, 'take care of the pennies and the pounds take care
of themselves' should be your guide, especially in Mar and Aug.
Increase your skills in money management.
At a deeper level, with Saturn in Leo, some of you may become
interested in the study of occult matters, psychology or the greater
mysteries of life and death. Issues around personal intimacy may
be something you will have to deal with or consider. With Saturn
in the eighth house that rules other people's values and Chiron
in the second house that rules the personal value system, you
may go through a shift over time as to what you think is important.
You may swing away from current obligations to a simpler life
or you may opt for complex dealings that can profit from the financial
climate. Somewhere along the line, you may need to review why
you want what you want instead of just pursuing things at one
level or another because it's what everyone does. You may come
to the simple view that, if you can look after what's yours, you're
in a stronger position, even if you seem to have less than others
or less than what's possible.
With Jupiter in Scorpio, you can open new vistas or bring new
friends and associates into your life, ones that will bring fresh
ideas or insight. You may feel more gregarious, taking a renewed
interest in friendship, forming new associations or renewing old
ones. You may pursue your goals with vigour and intensity. You
may teach or learn during this transit. You may form potent new
connections with groups or begin new joint endeavours. New contacts
may lead you to success. Some of you will be recognized for the

On Nov 24th, Jupiter moves to Sagittarius and your solar twelfth
house. You may be drawn to a search for truth. You may study to
increase the parameters of your knowledge. You may travel to open
doors. You may withdraw from outward activity to pursue an inner
life or the discipline of learning or self-development. You may
follow a secret plan of some kind. Creative or spiritual activities
or development may feature. Matters from the past may come to
light to be resolved or understood. Events in the wider world
may have a profound effect on your spiritual life.
 Love and Money  
Venus the goddess begins the year in reverse motion in Aquarius.
Review money practices. You may incur unexpected expenses. Changes
in relationships may alter your spending patterns. You may have
change in a close relationship because of money. A change with
money may alter a close relationship. Changes with money or finances
may lead to personal change, as you alter the way you live and
relate. You may start the year by having to deal with old or outstanding
matters. People with whom you have had past obligations, either
emotionally or financially, may re-enter life for renewal or resolution.
A Grand Cross, in the fixed signs of Taurus and Scorpio, Leo
and Aquarius, guides you into New Year. This is a 'go for it'
year with both love and money. Some of you will want to play,
speculate, have adventures or find romance. But will you have
the funds to do so? Some will want to work hard and accumulate,

communications and contacts that involve home, family and domestic
situation will remain in focus till the third week of June. The
Aries Solar Eclipse on Mar 29th may mark a departure or a point
of change. With warrior Mars in Taurus at the start, children
may feature strongly, especially males. A newborn may change the
pattern of life and spending. There may be change or difficulty
with a male or a firstborn, especially as they set out on their
own or try get a sense of independence. New ventures, lifestyle
activities or creative projects may alter your home life. From
Jun 22nd, the Lunar Nodes move to Pisces and Virgo, shifting the
focus to study, travel, business ideas, communications and a more
diverse range of activities. Dealings with siblings and neighbours
may feature.
Work and Health Â
When the Lunar Nodes move into Pisces and Virgo, they do so in
tension with Pluto, god of the underworld. This tension will culminate
in an exact square in the month of Oct. While the Nodes are in
your houses of travel and communications (Uranus is doing his
revolutionary work in the third), the square from Pluto brings
your solar twelfth house into the pattern of things. There may
be changes, breaks or endings with regard to travel, work or communications.
Overseas plans or links may feature. You may fall out of contact
with connections that have been part of working life. There may
be an unexpected severance in business dealings or general communications.
'Out of the blue' events affect the pattern or direction of daily
life. Unexpected changes with work or health may change your daily
routines. The period from the last week of June will show a marked
increase in busyness or activity but may be to some degree unstable
at times. You will need to think on your feet and make speedy
adjustments. Travel or communications may play a greater part
in working life. Sep, Oct and Dec may be intense and changeable
with for work or daily life.
Career Matters Â
In the overall, money matters are in focus and you will be working
either to accumulate money or to alter your relationship with
it in accordance with your needs. But different paths may call
different Goats this year. Uranus and Jupiter sail the seas of
Pisces and Scorpio, opening the doors of communication and friendship
or personal success, bringing startling results or changes. For
some, business, new contacts or ideas and movement towards either
individual or collective aims and goals will be in the frame.
This can be a time of realization, the fulfilment of long held
hopes or wishes. Others may be diverted from the tried and true
path to explore foreign climes, either inner or outer. Some may
decide to explore new knowledge or territories where the lives

year for about three weeks each time. This phase heralds a time

breakdowns that occur are a function of neglect, inattention,
simple misunderstandings or component failure. They will often
bring to the fore the very contingency we should have planned
for and didn't. When the retrograde phase occurs, watch out for
such possibilities as well as putting off major decision-making
or the signing of crucial documents and agreements. We tend to
miss things while Mercury is in reverse motion and then have to
come back and do them again. A process of review in the retrograde
phase can efficiently show where problems might lie and help us

underworld lord, as he does so. Communications will trouble, whether
it's people, arrangements or the necessary devices, you may be
reduced to confusion or dogged by the unexpected. You can avoid
some misunderstandings by being clear and double-checking. Even
so, you may have to just go with the flow or fit in as best you
can. There may be unexpected developments or changes with siblings
or neighbours. You may review ideas about business, travel or
travel arrangements. Local travel may be subject to delay. This
cycle ends on Mar 26th.
Mercury turns retrograde in Leo on Jul 5th, in range of a T-square
with Jupiter, Saturn and Chiron. You may undertake a review of
finances, especially joint holdings or credit arrangements. There
may be an unexpected development with financial needs. If there's
pressure in one area already, it may pop up in another, necessitating
a juggling act. You may have to deal with people in finance or
the money market. You may need to review or discuss issues of
intimacy or intimate involvement. Something hidden may come to
light with either love or with money. This cycle ends on Jul 30th.
Mercury turns retrograde in Scorpio on Oct 28th, in a conjunction
with Jupiter. There may be breaks or changes with friends. There
may be a disagreement or a departure in your circle. This may
be over money or it may be to do with a clash of attitudes or
beliefs. You may review your goals or the dreams you're chasing.
You may come to the end of the road or a new beginning with something.
You may experience a realization or a change of heart about what's
important in life. Dealings with groups may be tricky or changeable.

There is no New Moon in your sign this year as one falls on New
