The
Inner Dimension
This is a watershed year. Jupiter will enter the hidden realms
of your chart to bring to the surface realizations about what
you want or believe in, as well as revelations about the past.
Explore the inner dimensions. Saturn's journey in Leo will take
you as far as you can go with money or fiscal achievement. While
Uranus continues to awaken new ideas and new ways of speaking
or listening, four eclipses, retrograde Mercury and retrograde
Venus will affect your houses of communication. Contacts, ideas
and beliefs will be set for change or endings. There will be disconnections
and the development of new links, ideas or interests. You may
travel in strange climes. The cauldron of the year will help cook
up a new inner life. In time, you will taste a new inner world.
Immerse yourself in the hidden and in the things you haven't seen
or haven't wanted to see about your life. By the year's end, you'll
be ready to re-emerge and flourish under influences that will
uplift you.
As the year begins, Jupiter is in wide wandering Sagittarius,
opening the door to your solar twelfth house and drawing you inward
on the search for truth and wisdom. Some of you may enrich a current
direction as you seek to understand its broader possibilities
or wider implications. You may study to increase the breadth of
your knowledge as you move from one level of accomplishment to
the next. Others of you may step back from a path so as to contemplate
your situation. You may do so in order to choose another area
or discipline to move into and expand the inner horizons.
Some of you will take the spiritual path, leaving worldly interests
behind. Others will stay in the midst of the action but study
in secret or after hours. You may be disillusioned with a current
situation. Powerful or tragic events may be triggers by which
such changes are accomplished. This is a learning phase. You will
see that there are more streams of knowledge or understanding
than you imagined. As you learn to navigate the currents of these
streams, you will receive an upliftment that comes from deep knowledge
or a strong faith, drawn from a deep well. However, that's not
the end of the story.
On Dec 18th, Jupiter enters your sign, favouring your efforts,
bringing you opportunity, luck and the opening of new horizons.
Study, travel or expansion will be in the frame. You will enter
a new cycle of associations in romance or business. You can take
a punt, enjoy a gamble and put your hand up to be chosen by the
lord of fortune for an opportunity or an adventure. Jupiter turns
retrograde on Apr 6th and moves forward again on Aug 7th.
With both Mars and Jupiter in your twelfth house as the year
begins, it will be better to concentrate your efforts on working
away behind the scenes. Watch for hidden opponents and your own
self-destruct mechanisms. See the 'long term' possibilities or
the wider view. If you're patient and persistent, you can learn
a lot about how you operate and make changes in preparation for
a better time to come. At times, life will be affected by events
outside your control. Let things take their course and you can
learn from the necessary alterations or adjustments you have to
make. The end of March and the end of October may bring such events
into your life.
 Love and Money  
Venus begins the year in your sign, putting the emphasis on image,
relationships and personal life for the year ahead. What you achieve
may need to take second place to how you live and who shares your
life. Focus on what you want to do and be. Put effort into 'you'
and those you care about. If you're in a relationship, work on
that as you would at your job or your interests. Get the most
from what you have by putting the most into it. If you're on your
own, a new relationship may come this year but it will ask for
time and effort and a new way of thinking about what you want
and how you live. What's important this year is that the quality
of life improves and that you feel satisfied with who you are
and how you live. This is a year of growth and change, emotionally.
Jul 27th sees Venus turn retrograde in Virgo. Overseas connections
may be severed or interrupted for a time. You may have a break
in dealings with legal matters or those in the academic world.
There may be frustration or delay with study or travel plans.
Matters of love or money may be affected by change or delay. You
may have to withdraw from social activity or dealings. You may
find that you are somehow separated or isolated for a time. There
may be loss of contact or a severance with in-laws. Venus returns
to Leo on Aug 9th then forward on Sep 8th. An overseas connection
may come back unexpectedly. You may return to an overseas location
you've visited before. Concerns about work, health, love or money
may affect travel, study, legal matters or links that you have
overseas.
Nov 15th sees warrior Mars begin a reverse motion in Cancer
and your solar seventh house. Partners may be feisty, frustrated
or need new directions or conditions. There may be dissatisfaction
that will need to be heard and sorted. The concerns may be emotional
or they may be physical. There may be a physical condition that
inhibits a partner or close associate from functioning as they
are accustomed to. There may be a reversal of usual conditions
or a problem with mobility. Children or other family members may
be a factor in the process.
You may have to negotiate some ups and downs as someone close
may be feeling frustrated, trying to set out on a new course or
fixing up something from the past. A partner or close associate
may find that past conditions or connections may return to be
dealt with or resolved. Give space to what needs to happen. It
may be that a break or an interruption separates you from a loved
one. It may be that someone that has been close comes back after
time away. Mars is still retrograde as the year comes to an end.
The year begins with Saturn in Leo, keeping a focus on joint
finance and holdings. It's time to get in or get out of joint
relationships, obligations or partnership demands. Know what you
want to do and make the full commitment or make an end of it.
Some of you will have been tested by such obligations. The period
from Feb to Jun will highlight this. Has the cost of some endeavour
or commitment been too much? You decide. Do you have energy left
to pursue these goals? If so, see them through to the end. Have
your values altered? You may have to ask yourself if your concerns
are what they always were. This is a year of inner change and
you may already be drifting away from what has been a driving
force in the past. That doesn't have to stop you from seeing something
of value through to the end though. There's money to be made from
investment or joint ventures. Financial management and good structures
are the keys to success.
Home and Family Â
There may be a change in the primary configuration of the family.
This will affect who is present or how things are organized in
the family structure. Discussion will be needed to accept and
adapt to changed circumstances. A change of precedence may be
called for. There may even be a little tension or conflict over
new or changing circumstances. Money could be an issue in this.
If there is difficulty, take time with discussion so that you
can see where everyone is coming from and also what influences
are at work under the surface. If you can't gain an understanding
of what someone needs or what they think is important, you may
find yourself in a struggle or an ongoing difficulty. Such a situation
may appear to be about family structure or money but it will not
be either of these. There will be a hidden spiritual or emotional
imperative. These influences may be strongest from Feb to Jun.
Work and Health Â
Between Feb and Jun, Saturn will form a testing aspect with mystic
Neptune. While this is primarily oriented to your financial situation
and spending, you should take care in this period with health.
You may be tired or stretched to the limit. There may be worries
or stresses over your affairs that will leave you under par. If
you show any sign of exhaustion or a condition involving deterioration,
take steps to remedy the matter. Time to rest will be important.
Remedies will be needed. If you're pushing yourself or your body
hard, make sure that you spend time nurturing yourself and giving
yourself the time to take pleasure in the recuperative activities
that will soothe or uplift the spirit. If energy is low or fatigue
is extreme, do not simply go on without seeking treatment or taking
rest. Watch conditions related to bones or teeth. If you're travelling
overseas in late Oct, an old health concern may flare up again
with Saturn in Virgo on the Lunar South Node.
As far is work is concerned, you may be trying to push an important
project through to a conclusion. This may be a costly, emotionally,
financially and spiritually. Be sure the cost doesn't exceed the
possible gains. You may have come from an idealistic position
or you may be working with new ideas or a different kind of associate.
You may have struggles or opposition from people that stand in
your way or with those that disagree with the way you're doing
it. You may reach the end of a cycle or the end of your tether
as Saturn moves to Virgo on Sep 2nd. It may be time for a change
of direction or a new arena of endeavour altogether. Some of you
may be at the end of a work cycle and counting the costs in money,
time and trouble. You may be asking if it was worth it. It may
be time to head for a new horizon or seek a bigger picture to
give you an expanded framework within which you can operate in
the future. This will come after Sep 2nd.
Career Matters Â
Saturn begins in Leo, still focusing on finance and it's place
in your life. Whether you've made a million or not, you might
be pondering on the value of such achievements and the effort
they require, as well as the problems they generate. The period
from Feb to Jun will urge you or push you a landmark change in
terms of direction, values or concerns. This change will begin
to take shape later in the year.
On Sep 2nd, Saturn enters discerning Virgo and your solar ninth
house. You're called to the paths of wisdom. There may be overseas
travel, higher learning, important litigations or dealings with
people of status. You will need to study the big picture and make
abiding decisions about where your life is going. You may be called
to stand by your principles. You may study to advance your beliefs
and your knowledge. You may wish to break the shackles of routine
existence. In one way or another you will want to begin a pilgrimage
to find a more meaningful and fulfilling existence. With Saturn
in Virgo, you're in a formative period with career. You will need
a broader horizon to bring new prospects, new frontiers or a sea
change. Decisions or prospects related to work, health or career
concerns may involve overseas links or contacts as well as study
and personal development. You may wish to make a religious commitment.
You may adopt practices or learning to enhance the philosophical
side of life. While Jupiter in Sagittarius encourages you to seek
the broad sweep of many of these issues, Saturn in Virgo will
focus on the method and the practice.
In late Oct when Saturn conjoins the Lunar South Node in Virgo,
you may return to a geographical, cultural, legal, philosophical
or religious location that you've known in the past. You may mix
with people of status or other cultures with whom you've had past
contact. You may return to an academic post. You may have to take
a moral or intellectual authority. You may deal with fastidious
or unswerving people. Older people or those in authority may play
a part in legal or intellectual concerns. You may clash with the
cultural customs or legal practices of others. Saturn moves forward
in Leo on Apr 19th and turns retrograde in Virgo on Dec 19th.
On Dec 19th when Jupiter moves into your sign, you may expand
your career horizons through promotion, opportunity or just plain
good luck.
Mercury moves into retrograde (reverse) motion three times a
year for about three weeks each time. This phase heralds a time
of confusion and misunderstandings that can affect arrangements,
travel, transport, appliances, machinery and communications. The
breakdowns that occur are a function of neglect, inattention,
simple misunderstandings or component failure. They will often
bring to the fore the very contingency we should have planned
for and didn't. When the retrograde phase occurs, watch out for
such possibilities as well as putting off major decision-making
or the signing of crucial documents and agreements. We tend to
miss things while Mercury is in reverse motion and then have to
come back and do them again. A process of review in the retrograde
phase can efficiently show where problems might lie and help us
with damage control or the mending of things. Double check arrangements
at these times! What you think you've said and what others have
understood will often prove to be two different things.
Mercury's first reverse motion cycle comes in Pisces on Feb
14th. Communications or travel may be a little fraught or subject
to delays or frustration. Be prepared to think on your feet or
adapt at a moment's notice. You may be caught out by things you've
forgotten or ignored. Old contacts or associates may return, coming
out of the blue. New associates may depart unexpectedly. You may
revise or re-jig your plans. You may be absorbed in your own thoughts
or easily distracted. Take care with travel. Safety and scheduling
will need extra effort. Mercury returns Aquarius on Feb 27th then
moves forward on Mar 8th.
Mercury's second reverse motion cycle comes in Cancer on Jun
15th. There may be a break or separation with a partner or close
associate. Confusion or misunderstanding may trouble a close relationship.
You may talk about an old matter or do some listening. It may
be that the reverse is the case and a partner or close associate
may be difficult to talk with or get through to. Family or emotional
matters may be at the root of concerns. Someone you've been involved
with in the past may come back into your life. An old problem
with someone close may resurface. Mercury moves forward again
on Jul 10th.
Mercury's final reverse motion phase begins in Scorpio on Oct
12th. Friends, schemes or dreams may be subject to change, delay,
frustration or shifts in thinking. You may lose contact with a
friend or have an old friend return. There may be contrary ideas
or clashes of belief with friends or associates. As Mercury turns
retrograde in tension with Chiron in Aquarius, there may be concerns
over finance with a project or friends. Unusual attitudes or practices
with an associate may cause problems. A hidden sexual situation
or issue may come to light. Mercury returns to Libra on Oct 24th
then moves forward on Nov 1st.
Lady Moon Â
Your New Moon comes on Jan 19th. Set negotiations or deals in
motion but take care that you know exactly what it is you're committing
yourself to, emotionally or fiscally. You may be chasing an ideal.
Romance may somehow be connected with the practicalities of finance.
You may put plans or practices in place that will affect personal
life. You may become involved in a scheme that has new or different
ideals behind it. You may become financially involved with someone
for unusual reasons.
Your Full Moon comes on Jun 30th. Communications or contacts
will feature. You will have a chance to resolve an old matter
or put new practices in place in your dealings with people, especially
those with whom you're emotionally tied. Romance will be a key
issue under these influences. You will see where you are with
a romantic connection, a new project or a recreational activity.
Children will feature for some. Involvements with love or money
will need review. There may be tension or conflict in what you're
doing that needs negotiation or discussion.

Eclipses of both the Sun and the Moon often indicate the end
of a cycle or a significant change in the direction or pattern

especially if overseas destinations are involved. There may be
delay, change or interruption with study schedules or legal determinations.
A Solar Eclipse comes with the New Moon in Pisces on Mar 19th.
There may be breaks or changes in your dealings with neighbours
or siblings. Travel plans or patterns for daily life may be interrupted.
