Ride
the Roller Coaster
It's a mixed year for the Fishes and you'll need to keep your
eye on the ball. Jupiter, lord of fortune, and Saturn, measurer
of effort ring the changes while revolutionary Uranus continues
his merry dance in your sign. Career or professional dealings
show a rising star as Jupiter does his work while Saturn continues
his reign in your house of health and work then moves to your
house of partnership. There will be demands or responsibilities
with health or work routines and daily management until early
Sep. From there, the emphasis will shift to partners and close
associates and the obligations that you have in that area of your
life. This may seem like a topsy-turvy year at times but then
you ride a roller coaster for excitement and thrilling experience,
not for comfort. Ride the roller coaster of this year and, in
the end, you'll be breathless but grateful for the trip.
Activity and personal change are forecast for the months of
Feb and Mar. Mercury turns retrograde in your sign, Uranus builds
up energy with the Lunar North Node also in your sign and an eclipse
touches your New Moon, under pressure from Pluto, lord of the
underworld. As you ride these cosmic waves, you may find that
by the time Uranus sits on top of the Lunar North Node at the
end of Mar, you will be thinking or feeling differently about
yourself and will be ready for a new direction. You'll feel changed
and ready to begin a new cycle. As Jupiter spends much of the
period till midyear hovering in tension with the Lunar Nodes and
revolutionary Uranus, there may be big dreams that call you or
dramatic events that bring change. You may be ready to alter the
pattern of your personal life. You may find that circumstances
will assist you in doing so, whether you want to or not. The wheel
of fortune will send you for a spin on a path you did not expect
to travel. Saturn will give you the persistent determination to
make the journey. Jupiter will provide the fortune of the right
contact or opportunity when you need it most.
Love and Money  
Venus begins in Capricorn, bringing a focus on friends, groups
or gatherings and bright new ideas to keep you going forward.
Get out there and mix. Involve yourself with others and with their
ideals or pursuits. Gatherings with like-minded people will uplift
you or keep you on the path. With Jupiter in Sagittarius, a leadership
role may come for some of you. Those in a relationship might find
stimulation, new interests or new contacts with friends or groups.
There may be a new call with regard to an important goal or ideal.
For singles, you may find company or romantic companionship in
your circle of friends. Certainly, you won't lack for friendship
when you need it. New interests will bring new contacts that will
take you down a new walk in life. As Mercury is in Capricorn at
the start of the year, harmonizing with Uranus, the emphasis is
on communications and stimulating ideas.
On Jul 27th, Venus turns retrograde in Virgo and your house
of partnership. There may be a break or interruption with a partner
or close associate. A change with work or health concerns may
be the cause. In most cases, what occurs will be temporary. However,
for some there may be the possibility of change in the longer
term. A partner may go through a change of direction with work
or daily routine. Work or health issues may take someone away
for a time. It may also be that someone from the past could return,
bringing issues to resolve. Or, it may simply be that there is
a reconnection to a past working relationship or someone you knew
in the past. Whichever situation this is, it may come about in
a sudden or surprising manner. You or someone close to you may
experience a withdrawal from social activity or a downturn with
finance. This will be temporary. Venus returns to Leo on Aug 9th
and then moves forward on Sep 8th.
On Sep 2nd, Saturn, the measurer of effort enters Virgo and
your solar seventh house. This will bring changes with partnership
and will make this a potent time for relationships. For some,
there will be an increase in responsibilities as you enter a new
phase with loved ones. For others there may be a break or separation
in a close tie. In some cases, the separation may mark the end
of a cycle. For singles, you may enter into an important relationship
that will be part of your future. You may struggle at times with
the commitment this requires but can benefit greatly if you work
to understand what the relationship asks of you and how to give
that and yet remain an independent being. Don't focus on the outcome,
focus on the methods you use to create your boundaries.
If you're in a close relationship, this can be a 'make or break
period' as you encounter obstacles or opposition with your loved
one. There may be a conflict of interest or practice or it may
simply be that you wish to somehow pursue different courses or
that you are called in different directions. If you deal with
these matters patiently, you will come through to a stronger situation
and a better sense of your bond. Some of you will find partners
or close associates ask more of you while others may find that
their partners need more distance or freedom. In either case,
negotiate a position then step up and meet the requirements. Watch
health and energy during this process, as you'll often be asked
to give the most at the point where you're tired or stretched.
Don't be afraid to step forward. The more you take on, the greater
will be the reward at the end of the journey. Saturn turns retrograde
in Virgo on Dec 19th.
Home and Family Â
With a series of eclipses in your solar first and seventh houses,
retrograde Mercury in your sign and retrograde Venus in your house
of partnership, this may be something of an unsettled year. It
will be best to think on your feet, ride out the waves and try
to keep your options open. People may come and go in close relations
or within the family unit. It may simply be that demands in the
outside world will at times supersede the desired stability in
your family or domestic situation. There may also be gains to
be made from this so it will be important to let things take their
course and see where they end. When Saturn enters Virgo on Sep
2nd, it may be that this will have a clarifying effect with regard
to just who and what is important in your life and also exactly
what it is you need to do to support and maintain that bond.
Nov 15th brings the beginning of a reverse motion cycle for
Mars in Cancer. There may be challenges or difficulties with children,
especially males. There may be concerns about children or their
activities. Romantic or family concerns may be high. There may
be a high level of emotion or frustration with either children
or romantic partners. There may be obstacles or delays that affect
the fulfillment of their desires. You may be frustrated about
delays, difficulties or obstacles with activities or ventures
that you wish to pursue. The trick will be to let off steam, harmlessly
and safely, and to let others do the same. Don't push a touchy
situation. You'll just be lighting the fuse. You may have to deal
with anger or upset in yourself or someone close. You may be frustrated
by a lack of erotic activity or you may renew a physical connection
with someone from the past. Mars is still retrograde as the year
comes to an end.
Work and Health Â
Matters of work and health will continue under the microscope
as the year begins with Saturn set to complete his journey in
Leo and your solar sixth house. Keep up with the cycle of work
or health management you have begun in the last two years. Be
determined in your pursuit of what's important. Work hard. Attend
to the business of what you have to do. Make sure you take any
health concerns seriously and look deeply at the root cause. If
you do something about a condition every day, it will respond
to treatment. Even though you may be busy with work, make sure
you take the requisite time to attend to health and wellbeing.
Dealings with authorities or older people will be a feature still.
Don't push too hard to advance things or improve your situation
while Saturn is retrograde. After Apr 19th there will be signs
of forward motion and improvement as Saturn moves forward in Leo.
Take care in the period of Feb to Mar. This will be a testing
time with work or health for Saturn will go through a last clash
with mystic Neptune in Aquarius, travelling in your solar twelfth
house. This may, in some way or other, be a period of challenges
or obstacles. These may come from other people or they may come
from conditions that you face. You may have to balance one responsibility
or obligation against another. You may have to manage things in
one area in order to complete activities in another. You may even
face direct opposition in your work or daily life. Others may
not be in agreement with what you do or the way you do it. There
may be challenges from systems or organizations that don't make
it easy for you to operate. The important thing is that you ask
yourself what you truly want for your efforts and what they represent
as far as your beliefs go. If you're committed to what you're
doing, you will find the subtle strength, creative ingenuity and
sheer faith to overcome whatever stands in your way. This is a
year in which it's important to stand up and be counted, making
a mark with your achievements.
Take care with recreational activities involving extreme endeavours
or athleticism from Nov 15th as Mars begins a retrograde cycle.
Water sports or aquatic activity will need special care. Projects,
ventures or creative endeavours may be subject to delay. To push
ahead with impatience will be to risk upset or accident. Step
back. Release frustration harmlessly then look at the way you
act. Revise your methods or approach. Begin again.
Career Matters Â
Jupiter, the lord of fortune, is in Sagittarius, urging you
to expand your career horizons or launch a new career. Promotion
or opportunity for advancement will come for some. Others may
need to put in effort, especially through study or the expansion
of knowledge so as to get up and running with a career choice.
Broader horizons or overseas contacts may offer a way forward
or an interesting new possibility. You will make fortunate connections
with people of status or authority, ones that can assist you with
your work situation. There may be a change in career cycle for
some, one that in itself sets a new path or opens a way forward.
You may have dealings with people of status, knowledge, academic
training or overseas links or connections. Some of you may find
you're restless for new frontiers or areas of endeavour. Others
may be caught up in litigations, dealings or negotiations that
will allow you to advance or to improve your situation or your
status. It's important to put energy into the role you wish to
play in society and the authority you wish to take with others.

on Apr 6th then moves forward on Aug 7th.
On Dec 18th, Jupiter moves into the sign of Capricorn and your
solar eleventh house, urging you onward and upward as you find
new friends, join with group activities or share in the efforts
of like-minded people. You will embrace new ideas on the road
to fulfilling your hopes and wishes. The Lunar Nodes move into
the signs of Aquarius and Leo on Dec 19th, signalling unusual
contacts, people or beliefs as you search for or encounter hidden
truths and explore the hidden realms of creative or spiritual
potential.
Mercury moves into retrograde (reverse) motion three times a
year for about three weeks each time. This phase heralds a time
of confusion and misunderstandings that can affect arrangements,
travel, transport, appliances, machinery and communications. The
breakdowns that occur are a function of neglect, inattention,
simple misunderstandings or component failure. They will often
bring to the fore the very contingency we should have planned
for and didn't. When the retrograde phase occurs, watch out for
such possibilities as well as putting off major decision-making
or the signing of crucial documents and agreements. We tend to
miss things while Mercury is in reverse motion and then have to
come back and do them again. A process of review in the retrograde
phase can efficiently show where problems might lie and help us
with damage control or the mending of things. Double check arrangements
at these times! What you think you've said and what others have
understood will often prove to be two different things.
Mercury's first reverse motion cycle begins in your sign on
Feb 14th, joined with Uranus and the Lunar North Node. This will
be an unsettled period overall. There will be surprises, excitement
or 'out of the blue' events or changes. Watch communications.
Give yourself room to move or the freedom to adapt quickly. Developments
will overtake you suddenly or unexpectedly. You may encounter
unusual people or situations and have to rethink or revise your
plans or ideas. You may undergo change about what you feel, think
or want. Take care with travel and movement. Attention may wander
or you may bump into the furniture. You may end up by going back
over old ground or dealing with people or situations from the
past. All of this may come about unexpectedly. Mercury moves back
to Aquarius on Feb 27th. Take time for private reflections. Mercury
moves forward on Mar 8th.
Mercury's second reverse motion cycle starts in Cancer on Jun
15th. Lifestyle, creative projects, children or romance may be
troubled by communication problems, delays or the unexpected development.
Take extra care with safety with children's activity and with
your own recreation, especially if sport or extreme activity is
involved. There may be delay with creative or speculative ventures.
You may go over old ground. Something may need doing again. Watch
communications in romance or confusion with arrangements. Be flexible.
Females or family members may feature in sudden departures or
returns. Mercury moves forward again on Jul 10th.
Mercury's third reverse motion cycle begins in Scorpio on Oct
12th. Plans for travel or study may be affected by delay or problems
with communication. Delays or unexpected events may affect what's
already in motion in these areas. Communication involving those
overseas or overseas links may be delayed or experience interruption.
Surprising news may come. You may deal with difficult or unusual
people that come from overseas or have an academic or legal background.
Unusual attitudes or ideas may affect you. Your mood about the
future may be uncertain or you may be swayed to change your plans
because of events in the wider world. Give the picture time to
clear. Wait for lines of communication to be restored or news
to arrive. As Mercury turns retrograde in tension with Chiron,
there may be an individual or an event that comes right out of
the blue to change the picture. Mercury returns to Libra on Oct
24th then moves forward on Nov 1st.
Lady Moon Â
Your New Moon comes on Mar 19th, bringing a Solar Eclipse. There
may be a sudden event or development that will send you into a
new personal cycle. Personal relations will be under pressure.
Someone new may come. Someone may depart. There may be a break
or separation by circumstance or choice and you'll need to adapt.
It's an unsettled time with Mercury recently retrograde in your
sign and there is intensity here as Sun and Moon clash with Pluto.
The balance of home and professional life will be tested. However,
upset or restlessness will be short-lived. You will need to make
a break with the past and begin again but don't throw the baby
out with the bath water as you do so.
Your Full Moon comes on Aug 28th, bringing a Lunar Eclipse.
You may go through an outburst of feeling or an upset and decide
to do things differently. You may change your image or personal
circumstances. There may be an eruption or a dramatic event at
home or within the family. There may be work being done at home
or there may be a disruptive presence. You'll be emotional but
you'll have to listen to the talk or feelings of others. Old situations
or people may surface and you'll need to resolve them. Someone
or something may come out of the blue to surprise you or set you
back. If there is difficulty, negotiate. Legal, academic or professional
people may be involved.

There may be a change or break in a cycle of activity with partners
or close associates. This may be a natural end or it may be that
an unexpected factor or circumstance has an influence. A partner
may change personally or go through a process of change that will
affect relations between you. There may be simply be an interruption
to relations between you and someone close. There may be a change
in a cycle of work or health with a loved one or partner. Life
in the home or with family may be affected because of changes
or an end for someone close.
A Solar Eclipse comes with the New Moon in Virgo on Sep 11th.
There may be a new start for a partner or a close associate that
includes an end with another project or activity. A cyclical change
will come for someone you're close to. A condition of work or
health with your loved one may alter, altering the dynamics between
you. There may be a shift with authority or control in your relationship.
An activity or occupation that has been important for your partner
