The lord of fortune is in your sign, leading you onwards and upwards
on the paths of expansion. There will be professional or personal
opportunity, overseas travel, higher education and connections
with important people or teachers. Any or all of these may play
a part in a cycle of growth. Expand your horizons. Open new frontiers.
Just make sure the expansion confines itself to the perameters
of your knowledge and the circle of your contacts. Don't let it
get to your waistline! Remember! Lordly Jupiter brings as much
in the way of indulgence as he does with opportunity. Your luck
will be in with either love or money and you'll be ready to open
up to new vistas there as well. Opportunity or fortune will bring
chance encounters or new contacts. Travel or travellers may play
a part in forming new connections.
While Jupiter in your sign can be uplifting and expansive, it
will be important not to get too carried away. Not every scheme
or dream will make a million! Not every new lover will be the
one! Not every turn of fortune will change your life! Jupiter
hovers for much of the midyear in tension with Uranus and the
Lunar Nodes. Thus, your expectations may be unrealistic or misplaced
at times. You may feel an urge to leap across chasm but the big

this can be a year that lifts your confidence and enthusiasm and

his traverse of Leo until September, the broadening of your horizons,
interests and contacts will set foundations for the future. You
can uplift yourself into a new walk of life or a new way of operating.
At a simple level, you can even do the same old things with renewed
zest or interest. Thus, when Jupiter enters Capricorn on Dec 18th,
you will be able to reflect the year's developments in your financial
situation. From there, 'long term' benefit will accrue from natural
vigour, courageous expansion and an ability to see the big picture.
Jupiter turns retrograde on Apr 6th then moves forward on Aug
7th.
 Love and Money  
While Jupiter will urge 'onward and upward', Venus in Capricorn
as the year begins sends a different signal. Think basic, practical
and simple and you'll get the affairs of love and money right.
Good communication with those you love and live with will be important.
The shared life will bring benefit, emotionally and financially.
Singles may be in for new or exciting developments in romantic
life. They may come through fortune or chance. Once things are
underway though, it will be best to settle into a simple and harmonious
pattern of ordinary life. Those in a relationship may find that
new horizons or opportunities will expand or alter the way your
relationship works. Once again, embrace the opportunities but
settle in to the new basics as soon as you're able.
Venus turns retrograde in Virgo on Jul 27th then returns to
Leo on Aug 9th. You may step back from professional involvements
to deal with matters of travel, study, work or health. Financial
concerns may bring change to responsibilities or career dealings.
A familiar contact in your dealings with authority or professional
involvements may depart the scene. You may change your outward
role or revert to earlier duties or interests for a time. You
may need to seek legal advice or redress over a professional matter.
Legal concerns may arise in the course of your pursuit of your
duties or obligations. There may be concerns or dealings with
in-laws or connections overseas. This may come about due to unexpected
changes or in an effort to resolve an old matter. You may withdraw
from involvements or duties in order to learn new skills or to

Nov 15th sees Mars retrograde in Cancer. If financial management
has been poor, it will catch you out. There may be unexpected
financial demands or costs connected with home or family. You
may need to review your financial position. Don't just throw money
at a problem in the hope it will improve. Don't push through with
a purchase or an extension of financial obligations. You may be
taking on a commitment you cannot keep. You may be restless or
frustrated with finance. You may have to deal with a difficult
or angry male over money. There may be a problem or a concern
with regard to monies involved in a trust or an inheritance. This
may be a time of frustration or delay with money or financial
plans. You will need to stop, review the position, go back over

Home and Family Â
Home life will continue in its vein of change or excitement with
Uranus in Pisces. Two eclipses and Mercury retrograde will touch
the sanctity of the Sagittarian domicile this year. There may
be an unusual event or a surprising visitation in mid March. Home
may be a focus or an arena for gatherings or events. There may
be a rapid change of direction or atmosphere at home. New people
will bring new influences while old influences depart. Overall,
some will have entered a new phase of home or emotional life already,
one that represents a stunning change or a reversal of previous
conditions. Others may be in the midst of change, waiting on the
outcome of events. Others may be unaware that this arena of life
is set for a dramatic swing shift or an unexpected flurry of events.
As Jupiter spends some of the midyear hovering in tension with
Uranus and also the Lunar Nodes early on, there may at times be
unrealistic hope or expectations about where life is going or
what you feel you can achieve, especially with home or family

thinking of taking a mortgage. Dramatic or unexpected events may
also occur to affect home or family life, changing the anticipated
outcome or development. Events outside the pale or the norm may
alter the pattern of personal or domestic life. With Jupiter in
your sign, you may go through a stage where fortune or opportunity
will have a marked effect on where you live, the way you live
or with whom you live. A change of luck may give you the key to
a mansion. Whoopee! But a bout of impatience may see you throw

to cultivate more realistic views.

Responsibility and management are the key issues with work or
health, especially in Sep when Saturn enters Virgo. Do the little
things right! Be organized. Look after yourself. The impetus this
year is about creating a program that you can work with and stick
to. An inclination to the 'free and easy' will be there with Jupiter
in your sign. You'll want to enjoy yourself and at times do things
with old-fashioned self-indulgence. While you may be able to err
on the road of good health from time to time, you would be best
to plan for the recovery process afterwards and keep such outings
to a minimum. With Saturn in Leo as the year begins, you're setting
a broad foundation of ideas and understanding with regard to where

Career Matters Â
Jupiter, planet of expansion, in your sign brings opportunity
for change, advancement, promotion or new directions in work and
life. However, Saturn, planet of contraction and measured effort,
marks the path of change with responsibilities, professional direction
and dealings with authority. After a two year sojourn in Leo that
encouraged you to broaden your knowledge, belief system or vision,
Saturn enters Virgo Sep 2nd. This will see an increase in responsibility
but may bring pressure to bear in relationships as you seek to
maintain what you have and yet take on extra obligations. For
some, there will be promotion or improvement while for others
there may be a separation or necessary ending that sees you choose

joins with the Lunar South Node. There may be an extra loading
of responsibility. A concern with work methods or health may alter
or add to the cycle of your obligations.
Mercury moves into retrograde (reverse) motion three times a
year for about three weeks each time. This phase heralds a time
of confusion and misunderstandings that can affect arrangements,
travel, transport, appliances, machinery and communications. The
breakdowns that occur are a function of neglect, inattention,
simple misunderstandings or component failure. They will often
bring to the fore the very contingency we should have planned
for and didn't. When the retrograde phase occurs, watch out for
such possibilities as well as putting off major decision-making
or the signing of crucial documents and agreements. We tend to
miss things while Mercury is in reverse motion and then have to
come back and do them again. A process of review in the retrograde
phase can efficiently show where problems might lie and help us
with damage control or the mending of things. Double check arrangements

understood will often prove to be two different things.
Mercury's first reverse motion cycle begins in Pisces on Feb
14th. Home life may suffer from problems with communications,
vehicles or equipment. These may come suddenly or out of the blue.
There may be a rapid departure or an unexpected return to the
home. You may have confusion or misunderstanding in dealings family.
News or messages may alter the tenor of thinking or feeling at
home. Watch for domestic accidents, especially if there's work
going on at home. There may be confusion or a break with a family
member. Mercury moves back to Aquarius on Feb 27th then moves
forward again on Mar 8th.
Mercury's second reverse motion cycle starts in Cancer on Jun
15th. Fiscal concerns will feature and there may be a review of
financial involvement. Joint monies, the credit card, the mortgage
or the overdraft will be under the microscope. Poor planning or
extra expenses may cause problems. There may be change, difficulty
or delay with payments. There may be confusion with appointments
or schedules with those involved in finance. You may deal with
a difficult family member about money or spending. Expenses related
to family may crop up unexpectedly. An ingenious solution to a
money problem may suggest itself if you're patient and go with
the flow. Mercury moves forward on Jul 10th.
Mercury's last reverse motion cycle begins in Scorpio on Oct
12th. As Mercury clashes with Chiron in Aquarius at the outset,
this period will be charged. Communication, travel, dealings with
siblings or neighbours and business schemes will be under stress
as events or changes come of the blue. You may withdraw to an
inner world or feel preoccupied. Be sure you're not so preoccupied
that you don't look where you're going. Safety first! Distraction
may be a concern as you take attention away from one matter to
deal with another that has cropped up. Someone may react unexpectedly.
A concealed truth may come to light. Mercury moves back to Libra
on Oct 24th. A problem will be solved if you talk with a friend
or try to see it differently. Mercury moves forward on Nov 1st.
Lady Moon Â
Your Full Moon comes on Jun 1st, bringing tension with Uranus,
Jupiter and the Lunar Nodes. There may be breaks or separations,
sudden or unexpected. There may be explosive feelings in the air.
Hopes or expectations may have been too high and a bubble will
burst. You may be carried along a new road or find a new opportunity.
Luck will play a part in proceedings. You may need to let off
steam. A situation or concern may suddenly come to light or turn
completely about. The changes may affect career and domestic or
emotional life. People you're responsible for may be frustrating
or difficult.
Your New Moon comes on Dec 9th. There's a line up of celestial
bodies in your sign but Mars is retrograde and Saturn moves into
a square with Mercury. You may make a hard decision, one that
takes one path or option at the expense of another. You may have
to fix a problem connected with money or love by putting new practices
in place. You may come to an old idea or project and start again.
