Motive Force
Uranus continues to stir up activity and change in your house
of lifestyle and romance while Chiron and mystic Neptune will
awaken you to deep desires, high ideals and a new sense of your
emotional needs. All in all, it's a year of mixed and diverse
influences. You will have to be the motive force that brings these
strands together into a sense of unified achievement.
The big players in the cosmic calendar are, as usual, Jupiter
and Saturn. Jupiter, lord of fortune, in the sign of the Centaur
sets the pace with money then moves on to your house of communication
in the last breath of the year. You will want to expand resources
or income but a search for new or different values may add something
to the pot about why you want what you want. Get financial foundations
in place by taking the right gamble or the right risk then get
ready to expand your interests or broaden your base of learning
or contacts. Jupiter turns retrograde on Apr 6th and moves forward
on Aug 7th.
Saturn, the measurer of effort continues to set a mark with
career, urging you to find a sense of purpose and authority. However,
in Sep, Saturn enters Virgo and your house of friends, hopes and
wishes. It's time to redefine friendships and goals. Be discriminating
about what you want and who you want in your company. It's time
to learn new skills and methods that will make you more scrupulous
or particular about what you do. Begin associations with people
you can work with or with whom you have interests or practices
in common. If you want to do something, be prepared to do it as
well as you can. Physical, mental or spiritual health may be bound
up in the process by which you achieve what you want. Saturn moves
direct in Leo on Apr 19th and goes retrograde in Virgo on Dec
19th.
Nov 15th sees Mars, your traditional ruler turn retrograde in
Cancer and your solar ninth house. There may be delays, obstacles
or frustrations that affect study, travel or legal concerns. Communications
in any of these areas may be frustrating or blocked, especially
if overseas links are involved. There may be difficulty with in-laws
or people from other countries or cultures. You may go through
an emotional upheaval about your plans for the future or what
you really believe. You may encounter fierce or emotionally charged
beliefs from others. If you have origins in a country or a culture
other than the one you live in, you may return to your roots.
You may travel to deal with family or emotional concerns. In a
general sense, this is not a wise time to organize travel, especially
overseas, unless you're covering old ground or completing a past
obligation. People or situations from the past may return to be
dealt with. Emotionally charged males may feature on the road
of life. You may be frustrated at a lack of freedom. Accidents
or difficulties with water or the sea may be likely so take no
risks. You will need to get into the open air and let off steam.
Mars is still retrograde as the year comes to an end.
 Love and Money  
With Venus in Capricorn as the year begins, social relationships
will be bound up with work, business and the round of contacts
or connections. There may be a mix of business and pleasure. For
those in a relationship, you may not able to spend the time that
you'd like with your loved one for business or activity will keep
you on the hop. Dealings with the public may feature for some.
You'll need to make time for close relationships for the time
won't easily make itself.
For the singles, you may meet someone of interest in the course
of daily business or through connections. A relationship may grow
from a small seed of contact. Others of you may opt for the privacy
of your home life, not seeking much from the world of romance.
You may search for an ideal that is not within easy reach. You
may take your time to find what you want. Some may focus on money
and financial security or advancement rather than love. Others
may have demands or obligations with home or family that will
leave little time or energy for romance.
Jupiter, the lord of fortune, is in Sagittarius until mid December.
It's time to expand your financial horizons. Look beyond the budget
and the limited framework of what you've been doing with your
money. See the wider financial picture. Put personal money and

base with investment or important purchases. You may seek or find

spends much of the midyear in tension with the Lunar Nodes, changes

On Jul 27th, Venus moves into a retrograde phase in Virgo. You
may withdraw from friends or social connections. Friends may depart
or seek other avenues of contact. You may be caught up in the
demands or obligations of one situation, causing you to step back
from or neglect another. You may disagree with others over how
a project should go into operation or how a process should be
accomplished. This may cause tension or division, leaving you
with a situation to negotiate. Concern over work or health may
alter your plans or activity in groups or in the wider circle
of friends. Be cautious with love and money at this time. Focus
on doing things in the manner you believe is right but take into

Chiron, the wounded healer still wends his way in Aquarius, harmonizing
with Jupiter in Sagittarius as the year begins. Changes with finance,
spending, income or acquisition will bring changes to your life
at home. An opportunity involving money or an individual who has
money may bring a new financial climate. You may develop or improve
your home life or family situation. In the meantime, Chiron still
urges you to explore the inner reaches of your emotional self
and history or family background. New or unusual people, influences
or circumstances may contribute to a climate of change. You may
be in the process of stepping away from a role you've had professionally
or one that's been created because of your responsibilities. You
will begin to seek new rewards and respond in different ways.
This is a period in which you can redefine your emotional needs
and relations with home or family. There may be subtle but profound
change in how you feel about family or home life. You may seek
a new ideal or you may withdraw from what you currently have.
An unusual individual or a health matter may alter the character
of your home life. An uncharacteristic choice or decision about
where you live or with whom you live may alter the nature of your
family or emotional life.
Work and Health Â
Emotional life will be the key to health concerns this year.
You will need to look at your habits, your history and the patterns
of the past to understand what's amiss with health or wellbeing.
New habits and patterns will be needed but this kind of emotional
change is not always easy for you. Set yourself to begin anew.
In the change of habits, patterns and dependencies, you may find
that your needs are not what you thought. The urge towards personal
change runs deep and what ails you will have an emotional root
that will have to be addressed. Your sign tends towards constitutional
and regenerative strength so, when you find the resolve for change,
you'll have the power at your disposal.
As far is work is concerned, you'll have to toe the line or
do what's required with Saturn in Leo. Dealing with those in authority,
the public or with career or professional concerns is in the frame
and will ask you for determination, restraint and self-control,
qualities for which your sign is renowned. You may be caught in
a cycle of demands or obligations. You may have to complete a
tour of duty. As Saturn enters Virgo on Sep 2nd, the learning
of new skills or work methods will be important. You may develop
new contacts, interests or associations related to work or social
involvement. Choice or necessity may make you more discerning
about friends and companions. You may become more concerned about
health and wellbeing in order to pursue important goals. New ideas,

Saturn begins in Leo, focusing on career concerns and dealings
with authority. You will be making a determined effort to get
what you want. However, you may find that you're constrained by
beliefs or preoccupations about 'who' you're supposed to be. There
may be clashes with others in authority. You may be stuck in a
situation or an obligation from which you can't easily release
yourself. Where are you in the pecking order? Where do you want
to be? What do you want to do about it? On Sep 2nd, Saturn enters
Virgo and your solar eleventh house. You will come free of past
responsibilities so you can pursue personal goals. You will have
a chance to gauge how successful your efforts in any direction
have been by the level of acceptance or acclaim you gain. Groups
or teamwork may be a theme in the fulfillment of your dreams.
However, you will need to be selective about who you become involved

On Dec 19th, the Lunar Nodes will change sign, moving out of
Pisces and Virgo and into Aquarius and Leo. It will be time to
look at the balance of home and career. You may review, revise
or revamp your situation. You may go through a change about personal
or professional life. New contacts may stimulate new interests
in one or both areas.
Mercury moves into retrograde (reverse) motion three times a
year for about three weeks each time. This phase heralds a time
of confusion and misunderstandings that can affect arrangements,
travel, transport, appliances, machinery and communications. The
breakdowns that occur are a function of neglect, inattention,
simple misunderstandings or component failure. They will often
bring to the fore the very contingency we should have planned
for and didn't. When the retrograde phase occurs, watch out for
such possibilities as well as putting off major decision-making
or the signing of crucial documents and agreements. We tend to
miss things while Mercury is in reverse motion and then have to
come back and do them again. A process of review in the retrograde
phase can efficiently show where problems might lie and help us
with damage control or the mending of things. Double check arrangements
at these times! What you think you've said and what others have
understood will often prove to be two different things.
Mercury's first reverse motion cycle begins in Pisces on Feb
14th. Lifestyle, romance, recreation or children may be affected.
Watch for communication difficulties. There may be interruptions
or delay with important projects or activities. For those involved
in strong or extreme activity, take care with safety. You may
come back to a past activity or project to complete some work
on it. Be careful of new romantic involvements at this time. They
may give rise to misunderstanding or they may not be what they
seem. There may be a break or a change in a romantic involvement.
As Mercury returns to Aquarius on Feb 27th, family or home life
may be a concern. Mercury moves forward on Mar 8th.
Mercury's second reverse motion cycle begins in Cancer on Jun
15th. Communications may be an issue, especially if there are
overseas links involved. Legal or study concerns may be up for
review. There may be interruptions or delays with your plans for
the future. Your sense of what's happening in the bigger picture
may alter. There may be confusion or difficulty with in-laws.
Someone may depart or return from overseas unexpectedly. You may
review your beliefs or levels of knowledge and opt to make changes
in your life. The busy messenger moves forward again on Jul 10th.
Mercury's last retrograde phase starts in your sign on Oct 12th.
As Mercury reverses in square to Chiron, concern or tension with
home, family or emotional life may be involved. There may be confusion
in communications, affecting relations with partners or close
associates. Home life may be disrupted. There may be unexpected
arrivals or changes. Past matters or people may need to be dealt
with. Investigate rather than trying to put it all behind you.
There'll be value in looking at the root of a problem. You may

returns to Libra on Oct 24th. You may wish to retreat or step

Your Full Moon comes on May 2nd, bringing testing aspects with
Chiron and Mercury. There may be communication difficulties with
partners or close associates. Someone may be angry or want to
have their say. You may have to solve a problem in a new or different
manner. There may be tension or an atmosphere at home. There may
be obstacles that will need to be negotiated before you can advance
a situation you share with someone. The balance of career and
home life may need to be examined. A matter of work or health
may affect an important relationship. Seek creative or sympathetic
solutions.
Your New Moon comes on Nov 9th. Innovative ideas or action will
light the way ahead. You can make change or set new directions
with lifestyle and romance. Travel, study or education options
may be involved. There's a sense of impending events and plans
that will come to fruition if they're nurtured into life. The
far horizon may call. Choose options that will bring creative,

A Solar Eclipse comes at the New Moon in Pisces on Mar 19th.
There may be changes, interruptions or breaks with romance, lifestyle,
creative projects or dealings with children. A cycle may end.
An activity may stop for a time or for good. You may change direction
with recreational activities or creative projects. You may set
a new course that means you can no longer pursue and old one.
