    Jupiter Enters Aries 2011
    urgent new life; dominating leadership

Every year, Jupiter, Lord of Fortune, moves from one sign to the next, setting the stage of human consciousness for the ensuing year. January 2011 sees him splashing out of the waters of Pisces, his traditional night-sign, to bake on the beaches of fiery Aries, the cardinal fire sign. Urgent new life and dominating leadership are awakened, along with a willingness to take risks, especially at a political, financial and religious level (these are the areas mainly governed by Jupiter). It's a brief ride, though, as Jupiter leaps forward into earthy Taurus on June 4, staying there right through till June 2012. Rob Tillett, one of the founders of Astrology on the Web, discusses the effects these new transits will have on the various signs of the zodiac.

We live in interesting times, dear friends. But interesting times are not often easy ones. On January 22nd, 2011, Jupiter, the noble lord of the ancient gods, moves from a favoured position in his night-sign Pisces, the Fishes—a water sign known for its emotional sensitivity and social charm—to Aries the Ram, the brash, exciting fire sign of urgent new life and dominating leadership. Whenever Jupiter changes signs, a new flavour is brought to the underlying experience of our lives, giving a subliminal boost to the matters governed by the sign and house concerned. Jupiter in the heavens usually remains in each sign of the zodiac for approximately twelve months, taking twelve years to transit the entire zodiac. At the end of each of these cycles, related matters must progress to a new level, or else they will fall away into obscurity and eventual oblivion. In 2011, it's a short, sharp stay, because Jupiter dashed briefly into Aries last year, giving us a split perspective, thanks to a retro revisit of Pisces for a few months.

Jupiter's expansive, risk-taking character moves to centre-stage in Aries. This transit favours the discovery or invention of new methods and has a propensity for science, philosophy and travel. Many of us will change our vocations, or perhaps take on more than one occupation, especially in the legal and literary arenas. This position supports true pioneers, adventurers, and groundbreakers in general. Religion and matters of the higher mind come to the fore. Jupiter in Aries loves leaders: those who assume responsibility in government or corporations and who are willing to carry the authority to command or control others.

During periods when Jupiter is afflicted, the collective mind is not so well balanced, unleashing a tendency to throw money around like confetti! Impulsive risk-taking may cause loss in business (or indeed any) ventures and the mighty can fall from grace with a crash. Jupiter in Aries warns that the very areas in which we are likely to experience growth and expansion have a tendency to get out of control. How inclined or efficient we may be at keeping control, or regaining control when it has been lost, is determined by other factors in an individual's, a corporation's, or a community's natal chart. Though we may be able to earn or attract wealth, we also have a tendency to spend what we have, making it hard for us to get ahead, as we look at later in the article.

Go to Top Another Unusual Year!

2011 (like 2010) is unusual in that Jupiter will remain in the dynamic sign of the Ram for less than six months—between January 22 and June 4. That's because Jupiter actually strode into Aries for three months in 2010, between June 6 and September 9. So we've already had a foretaste of what it might be like this year, at least for the first six months!

The Aries Point, the first degree of Aries, is the beginning of the tropical zodiac, a very potent position. Last year (2010) this point was powerfully activated by a conjunction of Jupiter with disruptive Uranus on June 6, just as the inclement Fixed Star, Scheat, moved into tropical Aries by precession after more than two millennia in Pisces. Glacial speed, but then, that's why they call them "Fixed Stars". In actual fact, it's not the Fixed Stars themselves that move across the zodiac, it's the tropical zodiac that moves backwards against the fixed zodiac, the sidereal realm of the constellations (hence the concept of astrological ages, the "Age of Aquarius" and the like).

Scheat has been awakened for many months now, and will remain very active in the collective all year, especially during March and April, when Uranus and Mars cross him. Scheat is fond of stimulating imprisonment, murder, suicide, drowning, extreme misfortune (as we have already seen in spades in recent months). Individual freedom and independence are now an issue as the world veers down an entirely unexpected path. Jupiter's impending clash with Saturn in the light of the recent Solar Eclipse marks conflict between the rulers (Jupiter: kings, presidents etc) and the ruled (Saturn: the common people) and the conjunction with Scheat implies severe evils. Governments have already been overthrown in popular uprisings (Tunisia, at least, and possibly Egypt which is in turmoil at time of writing) and the Middle East is seething, not to mention Europe, where Greece, Ireland, Portugal and Spain are in real trouble. Even in relatively stable economies such as the US, Great Britain and Australia, the financial mismanagement of state, federal and local authorities is causing unrest among even our own apathetic and deluded population—as the money runs out!

Jupiter and Uranus conjoin again this year (2011) while still in Pisces, just as a partial Solar Eclipse strikes in Capricorn on January 4. Then they both swing on into Aries, Jupiter crossing Scheat again on January 22 and Uranus on March 12, after a period when their regular retrograde phases returned them both to Pisces for some months. The positive side to this is that we will see the development of new methods in law, science, philosophy and travel, but the flipside is that governments will seek to obtain more authority over people, arousing the individualistic antagonism to control that will be characteristic of this period. Pioneering developments will bring remarkable progress and we will see the growth of a religious spirit, albeit along most unconventional lines. We should remember that "new" is not always "better".

Governments and other authorities will have a self-aggrandising tendency to spend money too freely—and impulsive, knee-jerk reactions to situations will cause loss in business ventures and personally in the esteem of friends and associates to those especially affected. The expansive character of Jupiter in the reckless sign of the Ram promises a pretty fair shot at the destruction of the world economy through insurmountable debt fuelled by inflationary policies, perhaps even hyperinflationary runaways as we have seen in the past. Not paying attention to details or limitations can easily make us lose sight of reality. We may find ourselves waking up with a jolt once Jupiter settles into Taurus in the latter half of the year...

Go to Top Jupiter is a Time Lord

The cycles of Jupiter, in coordination with the cycles of Saturn, the other "Great Chronocrator", or "Time Lord", direct the energies that have significant effects on the collective being. These are especially marked by the conjunctions between these two massive forces, but also by the sign changes, hard aspects and retrograde periods.

Time Lord Jupiter is a Time Lord

The cycles of astrology are reflected in our daily lives, as well as informing the patterns of our human creativity, whether artistic or musical, social, political or financial. The opposition between Jupiter and Saturn marks periods of deep stress, when the fabric of the cosmos is stretched and twisted by seemingly irreconcilable positions. It's progress versus tradition, in every sense of the word.

In 2011 we will see Jupiter opposing Saturn in the last week of March (exact March 29), with Jupiter racing forward in Aries and retro Saturn stalking backwards in Libra. Aries and Libra are both Cardinal Signs, so the effects on the collective will be even more stressful than the opposition in mid-August 2010, when Jupiter was retrograde and Saturn direct, because Saturn outranks Jupiter in cosmic power. This aspect revives the tensions that developed while Saturn was in Virgo before moving forward into Libra on October 29, 2009. Everyone is familiar with the financial, economic and political stresses of those days, which are still working themselves out. Bad timing, past failures, authority figures, or simply a lack of generosity frustrate personal growth, economic prosperity, spiritual fulfilment, and intellectual endeavours during this period.

Jupiter Pluvius (the Rain-Bearer) has been hard at work, bringing rains, floods and fearsome weather conditions across the globe, but especially in Australia and Brazil, so we may be required to give back some of the prosperity or success we have gained, in order to help others get ahead. However, even if we and our governments are willing, we may simply lack the means to do so—at least for the time being. We cannot afford to take the status quo for granted, or further defy the odds by going out of our way to invite situations that could threaten us in these areas.

Responsibilities, restrictions, rules and regulations are in direct conflict with freedom, blocking our progress, happiness, success, or whatever else we may be after. We cannot count on maturity or experience to lead the way, and when we do, authority is challenged. It may seem good to circumvent the rules or get around restrictions, but this will probably fail. It may be best to resist the promise of something new and hang on to what we have, at least for the time being. Most of us will probably not be able to remove the opposing forces, which only leaves the option of finding a constructive way to work around them, or with them. Humanity still has the spirit and faith to make our dreams come true.

The last conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn occurred in May/June 2000 at 23° Taurus, the Fixed Sign of the Bull, which marked a number of major developments (see Jupiter's transit of Scorpio 2005). Jupiter next enters Taurus on June 4, 2011, but Saturn is not in aspect until this point (at 23° Taurus) is reached on May 16, 2012, when Jupiter and Saturn are exactly inconjunct by quincunx, just as Venus turns retrograde at 23° Gemini. 2012 marks the end of the Mayan Calendar, so mark that point in your diary...

In the even more distant future, Jupiter at 20° Leo is just prevented from reactivating the Fixed Sign Grand Cross via a square to Saturn at 23° Scorpio by the end of October 2014, due to slowing to a retrograde period just before catching up to Saturn, which then accelerates away leaving Jupiter in a cloud of cosmic dust. The next major hard aspect between the Time Lords is the square from Jupiter in the 15th degree of Gemini to Saturn in the 15th degree of Pisces on Christmas Eve 2025. It's a long way off, so don't lose too much sleep over it, folks.

Go to Top Growth and Expansion

Jupiter rules our potential for growth and expansion on many levels: physical, intellectual, spiritual and cultural, along with the accumulation of material assets, power and status. He rules our optimism and aspirations, including our interests in faraway places, travel, foreigners, academic and artistic types, cultural endeavours such as publishing, higher education, structured personal development, healing, government and religion. Jupiter is a risk-taker, so also rules gambling and speculation, adventure – and moving into unknown territory.

Luck and wellbeing are primarily governed by Jupiter, known as the Greater Benefic (Venus is the Lesser Benefic). When well-aspected, the Thunder God brings superb opportunities for expansion and success. Poorly aspected, he generates over-confidence and foolhardy actions with little care for the consequences.

Here is a brief outline of the effects on each sign as Jupiter enters Aries for a period of a little over five months. Remember to check the forecast for your rising sign too, for a more balanced reading. To estimate your rising sign, click here.

Aries, the RamAries, the RamGo to Top

On January 22nd, Jupiter, the noble lord of the ancient gods, strides forward into fiery Aries, the bold, domineering, skull-crushing (yet brilliantly creative and devastatingly attractive!) first sign of the tropical zodiac. Kapow! Your uniqueness as an individual comes under the spotlight, and you are surrounded by an aura of importance, as though the world depends on you! It's time to get to know yourself better. What makes you tick, and how can you take it to the max? Be careful, or you'll find yourself putting on weight, as Jupiter's expansive influence can have quite literal effects.

This transit bolsters your confidence and gives you the feeling that everything has taken a turn for the better, but you have actually reached the culmination of something you cranked into action some twelve years back. It may have been a marriage, or a business venture, but whatever it was (and you know...!), it must attain a new and higher level of growth and happiness—or now is the beginning of the end. Expansion of your ego-needs may be what forces the issue, as you seek pleasure and fulfilment. The pursuit of knowledge and greater spiritual awareness can also be about ego-gratification, unless you are rather more internally perceptive than usual. Self-inflating tactics are not necessary under this transit, because recognition and honour will come without your having to demand them.

Jupiter moves swiftly through Aries up to the 4th of June, 2011, when he moves into Taurus, sojourning in the earthy sign of the Bull until June 11, 2012. There is no retrograde phase during the five months of this transit of Aries; that happened during a brief foray into Aries last year, but this year it comes between August 30 and December 25 while Jupiter is in Taurus. Quite a Christmas, then... Jupiter's transit of Taurus will be discussed in a subsequent article. For now, check out your Year Ahead in 2011!

Taurus, the BullTaurus, the BullGo to Top

On January 22nd, Jupiter moves forward into Aries, your solar twelfth house of seclusion, of secrets, sorrows and issues buried behind-the-scenes. Any benefits or gains may be hidden, or at least not obvious to others, but this is an ideal time to pay attention to your spiritual development, issues connected with institutions (such as hospitals, prisons, government departments, universities and the like), your partner's health and concealed matters in general. Resist any tendency for self-pity and unnecessary guilt—or for using guilt as a weapon to get others to do what you want.

You can develop your inner strength and power under this transit through expanding your psychic energy and intuitive ability. It's time to confront your hidden fears and worry. This is also a period when if you need help, it is likely to arrive just in time to save the day, and it may come from hidden or unexpected sources. Jupiter remains in Aries until June 4th, when he strides forward into your own sign, the sign of the Bull, a valuable stay lasting till June 11, 2012. This really takes the pressure off! There is no retrograde period during this speedy visit to the land of the Ram, as that happened last year, but this year it comes between August 30 and December 25 while Jupiter is rolling through Taurus. Jupiter's extended visit to Taurus will be good for you Bulls, as you'll do well, even though you'll need to control your appetites. This will be discussed in a later piece. Check out your Year Ahead in 2011!

Gemini, the TwinsGemini, the TwinsGo to Top

On January 22, Jupiter moves forward into fiery Aries, your solar eleventh house of friends, hopes and wishes. The income you gain from your career will grow, and you can also expect some financial assistance from friends and associates. The next five months will see your friendships increase, while your relationships with the friends you already have will be expanded. Children in your life, especially those who are not biologically your own, will develop along a more beneficial path. Joining or participating in clubs and organizations will bring splendid results. Your success comes primarily through an emphasis on the role you play in the lives of others, as well as a need for more freedom within those roles. During this phase your own efforts will lead to success, notably in the attainment of your hopes and dreams.

Jupiter remains in Aries until June 4th, when he rolls on into the sign of the Bull, your solar twelfth house of secrets, solitude and subconscious motivations. This lengthy, inward-looking phase will last until June 11, 2012. You need to work steadily and maintain a philosophical approach, even if you are feeling blue. Help is likely to come when you need it, probably from an unlikely source. There is no retrograde phase during the forecast period, because this year it comes between August 30 and December 25 while Jupiter is rolling through Taurus. This will be discussed in an article on this site later in the year. Check out your Year Ahead in 2011!

Cancer, the CrabCancer, the CrabGo to Top

On January 22, mighty Jupiter, your exaltation-ruler, moves forward for a brief transit through Aries, your solar mid-heaven, the house of career and public image. This brings a five-month phase of remarkable good fortune, and of aid from important people. Make sure you go for what you want, because you deserve it! You career and public position will expand, and a family member may also receive recognition, which in itself will be beneficial for you, as you begin to actualise your long term plans. Success may seem to fall in your lap, but don't take your luck for granted. Whatever you gain with ease may just as easily be lost, if you do not take the accompanying responsibility, or ownership.

Jupiter remains in Aries until June 4th, when he steps into the sign of the Bull, your solar eleventh house of friends, hopes and wishes. This outgoing phase will last until June 11, 2012—and can help you make your dreams come true! There is no retrograde phase during the forecast period, because this year it comes between August 30 and December 25 while Jupiter is creating waves in Taurus. I will examine this fortunate phase here later in the year. Check out your Year Ahead in 2011!

Leo, the LionLeo, the LionGo to Top

On January 22, mighty Jupiter, lord of fortune, moves forward into fiery Aries, your solar ninth house. This is a very favourable position for the Lion, being the house of fame and travel, of spiritual development and cultural pursuits. It brings a five-month phase of remarkable good fortune, and the potential of great honour. The people and circumstances you experience will broaden your intellectual horizons through higher education, advanced training, study or the use of foreign languages, or long distance travel. Under this influence you may develop a desire to expand your spiritual awareness, political interests, and cultural appreciation. Success is also possible if you are involved in writing, publishing, arts and entertainment (especially theatre and dance), finance and investment, advertising, or promotion. Court decisions are favoured, and dealings with in-laws should be beneficial. However, it would be unwise to become complaisant, or to take your good fortune for granted. It is a relatively brief phase, so concentrate on making the most of it!

There is no retrograde phase during the forecast period, because this year it comes between August 30 and December 25 while Jupiter is creating waves in Taurus. Jupiter remains in fiery Aries until June 4th, when he steps into the sign of the Bull, the sign on your solar mid-heaven, the area of life governing career, public image and general success. This prosperous phase will last until June 11, 2012, a period during which you will experience a sense of easy fortune and will be surrounded by good luck and personal advancement. I will take a deeper look in an extension of this article here later in the year. Check out your Year Ahead in 2011!

Virgo, the VirginVirgo, the VirginGo to Top

January 22 brings Jupiter forward into Aries, your eighth house of sex, death and taxes. Financial joint ventures will take your attention, yet you'll find time to investigate the hidden side of life—and may benefit from an inheritance! Debts at this time need to be paid, or collected as the case may be. If you need financial assistance, it's a good time to ask. Analysis, investigation, or research all lead to increased knowledge and growth in consciousness, and a much deeper level of satisfaction bubbles up. This comes from psychological fulfilment, just as much as physical gratification. Increased sexual pleasure is in the stars for Virgo, but the more intellectual, analytical side of this brings a deeper understanding of the nature and purpose of sex, as well as other mysteries of nature.

Jupiter remains in the pushy sign of the Ram until June 4th. There is no retrograde phase during the forecast period because it comes this year between August 30 and December 25, by which time Jupiter will have boldly gone into Taurus, the pleasure-loving sign of the Bull. Taurus, your solar ninth house, takes the cosmic focus for more than a year, until June 11, 2012. You will take more of an interest in cultural pursuits, higher education, publishing, spiritual growth, travel, political and religious issues, and broadening your mind in general. I will analyse this excellent phase here later in the year. Check out your Year Ahead in 2011!

Libra, the ScalesLibra, the ScalesGo to Top

January 22 brings Jupiter forward into devastatingly attractive Aries, your solar seventh house of marriage, partnership and open confrontation. Interaction with other people, especially your partner, spouse or other allies, is especially stimulating. It can bring broader knowledge and new experiences for you. Current partnerships and other alliances (as well as joint ventures) should expand and improve. Marriage is on the cards for many of you, or signing up for a serious, committed partnership. Consultations, legal matters and contract negotiations are favoured. Make sure you don't take others, especially a partner, for granted, as you may become just a bit too cocky under this influence. It would not be wise to exaggerate the prospects of a relationship or joint venture, nor to overestimate the help and input you may receive from others.

Jupiter remains in fiery Aries until June 4th. There is no retrograde phase during the forecast period, because you had it in July, August and September last year, during Jupiter's brief foray into Aries. This year (2011) it comes between August 30 and December 25 while Jupiter is shunting his way through Taurus. You can look forward to a year of sex, death, taxes, and a focus on life's mysteries until June 11, 2012. I will look more closely at your prospects in another article here later in the year. Check out your Year Ahead in 2011!

Scorpio, the ScorpionScorpio, the ScorpionGo to Top

On January 22, Jupiter, the lord of the cosmic gods, strides into fiery Aries—another Mars-ruled sign! Your work and working relationships are likely to expand, as it stimulates a much more favourable outlook for relationships with co-workers and associated professionals. It's a good time to streamline your working routines. Relations with subordinates can also be improved, though you'll be happiest when working unsupervised. Your work and responsibilities will expand in scope and you may need to take on extra help. Don't get the idea that you are invincible, Scorp, as pride often comes before a fall. Your job may require more travel, or advanced training—but it would be unwise to take any aspect of it for granted. You may buy a pet or other small animal during this transit, or take more of an interest in small animals. Military matters might occupy your mind, and your interest in health and physical fitness may increase. Your physical wellbeing has a favourable outlook, but don't take your health too much for granted. Avoid procrastination and overeating.

Mighty Jupiter remains in the Ram until June 4th. There is no retrograde phase during the forecast period because this year when it happens between August 30 and December 25, Jupiter will have entered Taurus, the earthy sign of the Bull. Taurus, your solar seventh house, receives this benefic energy until June 11, 2012. Partnerships, marriage and even legal issues will go well for you and eligible Scorpions will be drawn to tie the knot. Let's hope it does not signify the irresistible force meeting the immoveable object! I will give you some more detailed info on this here later in the year. Check out your Year Ahead in 2011!

Sagittarius, the ArcherSagittarius, the ArcherGo to Top

Mighty Jupiter rolls on into Aries, your fifth house of romance, children and speculation on January 22, for a five-month stay. Jupiter is fortunate, expansive, and is your planetary ruler, so ego-boosting romantic attractions are in the wind; relationships with children will blossom, and you'll need to control the urge to blow it all on the ponies. It's a creative and enjoyable phase, refocusing in some ways the experiences you had after the middle of 2010. Romance, pleasure, and creative, egoboosting fun is the flavour of this phase, which improves your lovelife, presents investment opportunities and creates happier relations with children. A good thing all round, really! Speculative opportunities will present themselves, so money can be made. The Archer loves to take a chance, but remember, Jupiter tends to excess. You will be inclined to take some judicious risks with gambling and speculative interests, but if you base these risks on a well-thought-through foundation, making use of your experience and expertise, you should do very well.

Jupiter stays in Aries until June 4th. There is no retrograde phase during the forecast period, because in July, August and September last year, the retro phase occurred during Jupiter's brief foray into Aries. This year between August 30 and December 25 Jupiter does turn retrograde as he is plodding through earthy Taurus. A fine thing for the fiery, adventurous Archer, but at least your health should improve and work will be more fulfilling until June 11, 2012. Check out your chances here later in the year, when I will record them in another forecast. Check out your Year Ahead in 2011!

Capricorn, the Sea-GoatCapricorn, the Sea-GoatGo to Top

January 22 sees Jupiter moving into Aries, your fourth house of home, family, domestic conditions—and fruits of the soil. This is the house of beginnings and endings, so prepare to take your life to a new level. The months ahead signal the start of a twelve-year cycle of learning and new experiences for the Goat, as Aries symbolises your solar fourth house, the house of beginnings and endings. Your life must take things to a new level, or relationships, employment and other forms of personal interaction will likely fall away. It's the right time for real estate and home renovation, or perhaps selling up and relocating to the home of your dreams. You will feel the call of higher education or a particular study, receive advanced training, or take on long distance travel, writing, publishing, or promotion. Decisions you make now, especially those influenced by people you meet, will be catalysts for new ventures that affect the next twelve years of your life. If you began a new venture, or relocated, between July and September of last year (2010), it's time now to consolidate the new arrangements.

Fortunate Jupiter remains in Aries until June 4th. There is no retrograde phase during the forecast period because in 2011 it happens between August 30 and December 25, once Jupiter has entered Taurus, the sensual sign of the Bull. Taurus, your solar fifth house, enjoys this expansive energy until June 11, 2012. Romantic connections, relationships with children, speculative activities and creative endeavour will hit the heights! I will provide more details here later in the year. Check out your Year Ahead in 2011!

Aquarius, the Water BearerAquarius, the Water-BearerGo to Top

On January 22, Jupiter rolls forward into Aries, your third house of communication, siblings, local issues and education. You'll be running from pillar to post, chasing bargains and checking out the latest in computers, phones and gadgetry of all kinds. It's a Boy's Own period, really—not that girls will miss out on the gossip round. Your brothers, sisters, neighbours, and people in your local environment will feature. Communications, travel and networking widen your circle of contacts through exchanging and sharing ideas and information. Success comes through developing your mechanical skills, through travel, or in promotional activities that improve your status. It's the right time to buy telephones, computers, answering machines, or other communication devices. Creative writing, publishing, or educational interests are definitely the go in coming months.

Shining Jupiter hangs out in Aries until June 4th. Make the most of it. There is no retrograde phase during the forecast period, because in July, August and September last year, a retro phase occurred during Jupiter's brief spin in and out of Aries at that time. This year between August 30 and December 25 Jupiter does turn retrograde as he is ploughs the fields of earthy Taurus, your cosmic house of new beginnings. Family and domestic arrangements will be realigned and until June 11, 2012 you'll perceive a pressing need to take your life and everything in it to a new level. Follow your star here later in the year, when I will update the forecast. Check out your Year Ahead in 2011!

Pisces, the FishesPisces, the FishesGo to Top

Jupiter, your life-ruler, is a healing, optimistic and expansive influence, and while he has been skimming the waters of Pisces, it's been a fairly beneficial time for the Fish. On January 22, however, Jupiter jetskis into Aries, your second house of personal finances and values. Spending will be up on luxuries and you will be brought face to face with some of your most cherished views on life, the universe and everything. For five months (until June 4, 2011) you will need to control the urge to splurge—and as Pisces is not noted for a firm grasp of the financial basics, perhaps you could consult your Capricorn friends on how to transform your bank account from red to black. Your values and opinions will come under pressure, probably through the influence of philosophies or religions that are different to the ones you grew up with. You should do better this year through getting a grip on how to allocate your resources and control the wiggly bits! You might even lose some weight! Jupiter wants you to go all out to impress people, tempting you to spend on luxury items and status symbols. Money is the source of pleasure – which is fine if you can afford to spend it! How badly do you really need that new i-pad? Other expenditures concern higher education, political interests, religious or spiritual activities, travel, publishing and cultural pursuits.

Fortunate Jupiter sails through Aries until June 4th, but there is no retrograde phase in Ram-Sign, because in 2011 it does not happen until August 30, when Jupiter has entered Taurus, the sensual sign of the Bull. Jupiter holds the retro course in Taurus until Dec 25 when he turns direct for Christmas. Taurus, your solar third house, benefits from the presence of your life-ruler until June 11, 2012. Communications, close connections in the family and the neighbourhood, education and travel will feature, as will expressing your ideas in a concrete form, such as a blog, a video, or other written form of expression. Check here later in the year for more info. Check out your Year Ahead in 2011!

Jupiter enters Taurus on June 4, which will be discussed in a future article. Jupiter turns retrograde on August 30, 2011, then returns to direct motion through the zodiac on December 25. Merry Christmas!

    This concludes the article.
