Take the Risk

With Jupiter in Scorpio and your solar fifth house since late last year, there's a risk being taken or a venture calling. In some way or other you will have had to gamble to get what you want. With Saturn in Leo in an ongoing clash with Jupiter, you will have had to use the last of what you have or push resources to the limit as part of the risk.

As we come close to the ingress of Jupiter into Sagittarius (late Nov '06), throw everything (including the kitchen sink) into what you're doing to give it the best possible chance. Leave nothing untried or unused. However, don't forget to take a long hard look at what's working and what's not. Be ruthless if there's dead wood to be cut.

The first week will bring discussion over finances. You may be embattled and forced to take unusual steps. You may deal with an eccentric individual or work to a radical plan. The Full Moon in Aries on Oct 7th may bring something of an uproar with career or professional dealings, featuring a fiery or self-directed individual, especially a female. You may deal with a female authority figure.

Work, finances and affairs at home will fall into a pattern, enabling you to advance your interests or develop new work practices and make change in emotional or domestic life. This will come with the New Moon on Oct 22nd though there may be ructions or a high level of activity that goes with it. Change is in the making. Sun and Mars move to Scorpio on Oct 23rd, setting a course for lifestyle matters, romance and creative or speculative ventures. Get focused on where you want to go but solve organizational or communication problems first. If you want the Halloween treat, don't fall for the tricks of impatience or lack of thoroughness. Anticipate problems. Negotiate clear deals. Rethink the means.

Review Your Plans

Mercury spends the month in Scorpio. Review plans or strategies. See what works and what doesn't. Don't get carried away or be taken in, mid month. Things may not be what they seem. Opportunity comes at the New Moon on Oct 22nd but so does restriction or delay. Work with the conditions. Don't leap ahead. Mercury turns retrograde on Oct 28th. Check the options. It Starts at Home

Relations at home will be important with Venus in Libra. You may make purchases, have guests or organize social occasions. You will experience activity or emotional change in the home. There may be a moody individual present. Reorganize for a new start at home or in emotional life with the New Moon on Oct 22nd. Venus moves to Scorpio on Oct 24th, bringing the sweep of chance, romance and speculation into relations and social activity.

Getting Out There

Mars begins in Libra, bringing activity or some tension to the home environment. There may be building or renovation. There may be a testy influence at home or a feisty family member. This may be a male. You could be a little touchy yourself. Take extra care with home safety. Let off steam in physical activity or discussion may become argument. Oct 22nd brings a new start and new influences at home as the New Moon comes. Mars enters Scorpio on Oct 23rd. You'll be ready for action or romance. New activities will call. You'll incline to speculative or 'high risk' ventures. You'll be charged, frisky or feisty.
