Push and Pull

It's push and pull as the month begins. Communication and social relations draw you in to matters of home, family and emotional or domestic life. However, with the Sun joining Saturn in Leo, career, responsibilities and lifestyle are in the frame. Keep your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road. Be single-minded. You have a crucial choice to make about important projects or contacts. Don't repeat a past mistake by backing the wrong horse.

A Full Moon in Aquarius on Aug 8th will reveal all as Mars harmonizes with Jupiter, favouring joint effort. Draw on the power within but work with others for the common good. Negotiation and compromise are needed in the wake of the lunar blaze. Balance individual effort with the needs of the greater endeavour. There may be interruptions, surprises or obstacles that come out of the blue, mid month. This is not a time for risks or impulsive responses. Be considered in everything you do. Wait for the right moment rather than shooting ahead or going off in another direction. Be careful of exaggerated or elaborate reactions or responses, either in yourself or with others. Avoid the drama of the situation and stay focused on the practical and immediate concerns. Watch spending at this time. Deal with others fairly, even if the actions don't quite merit it.

Aug 23rd brings the Sun into Virgo and the New Moon in that adaptable and earthy sign. New skills, methods and routines are called for in daily life. Make a new start with work or health concerns.

On the Move

Mercury skitters through the last of Cancer, returns to Leo after a recent retrograde then enters Virgo. You'll be busy sorting out domestic or emotional business till Aug 11th when Mercury enters Leo, urging you to reset or resolve creative projects, romantic attachments or lifestyle matters. There'll be talk and negotiation over money and relationships. There'll have to be 'give and take'. Navigate carefully. Don't be drawn into 'over the top' reactions. Make careful and realistic plans or decisions in the third week. Mercury's move to Virgo on Aug 27th urges simple, practical action. Focus on the detail. Do it and get it right.

Spiralling Out

Venus begins in Cancer, focusing on relationships and money or purchases as they relate to domestic or emotional life. Be sensitive and concerned but not indulgent. Guests may feature. There may be financial outlay for domestic needs or improvement. Venus then moves into the blaze of fiery Leo, bringing romance, lifestyle and social gatherings into the frame. There may be occasions to attend but there may also be someone that needs your support or sustained effort on their behalf. There are some things you will have to do solo.

Getting It Right

Mars spends the month in Virgo and your solar sixth house of work and health. Focus on detail. Get the little jobs done. Look after yourself with exercise and diet. Go for the clean and efficient! Events may catch you out or come out of the blue. Impatience or frustration will cause problems if it boils over, either for you or others. A surprise opportunity may come to support your efforts. Financial change may benefit. Old situations or contacts may return or recur as the month ends. As Mars squares Pluto, things are charged and intense. The cost of breakthrough may be an end. The big picture may alter daily routine.
